The Santos collection saw various iterations over the decades, but the Santos Carrée emerged in 1978 as part of a significant redesign. The word "Carrée" means "square" in French, and the Santos Carrée marked a shift to a larger, more angular and modern case design. The key features of this version were: A Larger and more rounded square case than previous models. Signature exposed screws on the bezel, which became one of the defining features of the Santos line. An integrated metal bracelet with screw motifs, echoing the screws on the bezel. Available in a combination of metals, including stainless steel and gold.
